Wellness Seeker

  • Your Wellness Pals should be your most trusted contacts. They can be your close friends and family who you have known for a while.

  • You need to have at least one Wellness Pal to unlock SwitchWell’s main features, but we recommend adding more than one Wellness Pal. There is no limit on the number of Wellness Pals you can add!

  • Yes, you can remove a Wellness Pal whenever you want. Keep in mind, you must have at least one Wellness Pal to be able to access the full features of SwitchWell.

  • A Wellness Check is a one-time engagement to assess the current state of Wellness Seekers’ wellbeing in order to provide a custom solution. You must have at least one Wellness Pal to be able to engage. Your responses are confidential, but your Wellness Pals will be nudged to reach out to you if necessary.

  • A Wellness Check-In is a quick daily update about how you’re feeling. Your Wellness Pals will get notified and reminded to check in with you if you might need support.

Wellness Pal

  • Your Wellness Seeker will be notified once you log out of SwitchWell. We recommend Wellness Seekers to have more than one Wellness Pal.

  • SwitchWell provides a variety of scientific and evidence-based resources to help you on this journey of supporting your Wellness Seekers. SwitchWell will also nudge you whenever a Wellness Seeker needs your support, but you are encouraged to reach out to them as you see fit.

Security & Privacy

  • SwitchWell uses end-to-end encryption to protect all your conversations and personal data. This means only you and your Wellness Pals can read your messages - not even SwitchWell can access them. All data is collected and stored in encrypted format to ensure maximum security.

  • If you log out, you’ll need to ask your Wellness Pals to share a code with you to unlock your old chats. These codes are kept only on their personal devices, never on any central server. That means no one else (not even us) can see your conversations.

    When you make a request, your Wellness Pals will get a notification and need to approve it before you can get back into your past chats. This way, your private conversations always stay in your hands and the hands of the people you trust.

  • Your personal data is encrypted and stored on secure servers. However, anonymized data may be shared with trusted third-party servers for analytical and service improvement purposes.

  • We may share anonymized data (data that cannot be traced back to you personally) with third parties including researchers, health organizations, industry partners, and software vendors to improve our Service and gain valuable insights. This helps us enhance your SwitchWell experience while protecting your privacy.

  • Your personal data remains on SwitchWell unless you choose to delete it. However, even after you delete your account or uninstall the app, SwitchWell will retain anonymized survey and usage data for service improvement and analytical purposes.
